Slavic tales

Once upon a time…

Drawn from: Eastern European, a story set in Post Apocalyptic World, Guardian, seeing an old natural thing after an eco apocalypse. Told in English.

In the shadow of crumbling stone towers, where the earth had reclaimed its breath, an old man named Luka wandered. The world had withered, but Luka's heart beat with tales of yore. One dawn, he stumbled upon a lone oak, its roots deep in lore. The tree whispered of a time when the land thrived, its voice carried by the wind.

In Luka's village, it was said that the Spirit of the Oak could heal the scars of the earth. But to awaken it, one must offer a song from the heart. Luka, with a voice cracked by age, sang of lost valleys and rivers. The oak trembled, and from its branches, a golden leaf fell.

As Luka picked it up, the ground beneath him hummed with life. The villagers, drawn by the song, gathered around. The leaf, now glowing, promised a new dawn. Through Luka's tale, the oak had shared its gift, reviving hope in the hearts of the weary.

And so, the land began to heal, one story at a time.
