Once upon a time…
Drawn from: great flood, any period, Superhuman Helper, Woman vs Time Conflict. Told in English.
In the land where mountains kissed the sky, there was a tradition of the Whispering Stones. These stones, scattered across the valley, were said to hold the voices of ancestors. When the rains came, the stones sang louder, warning of impending danger.
Mara, a wise woman of the village, listened to the stones. They spoke of rising waters that would soon cover the land. She knew she had to act fast. Time was her enemy, and the river grew angrier by the hour.
Mara gathered her people, urging them to higher ground. Many doubted her, but the stones' song was undeniable. As the floodwaters surged, Mara led them up the mountain path, each step a race against time.
The waters claimed the valley, but Mara and her people found safety among the peaks. The Whispering Stones fell silent once more, their warning fulfilled. Mara’s courage and the stones' song saved the village, and the tale of the wise woman and the singing stones was passed down through generations.
