Once upon a time…
Drawn from: Seljuk Empire, Afzelius-Gerger Ballads, Guardian, Man vs Old Age Conflict. Told in English.
In a land where the sun kissed the earth with warmth and the winds whispered secrets, there lived an old family of wanderers. They traveled through the vast empire, seeking wisdom and tales. One day, they heard of the Fountain of Youth hidden in the desert sands, said to grant vigor to those who drank from it.
The family, weary from years of travel, decided to seek this fountain. They journeyed through bustling bazaars and ancient ruins, guided by the stars and the tales of nomads. Along the way, they encountered the Sand Spirits, creatures born from the desert who could reveal hidden paths. The Spirits, intrigued by the family's determination, offered guidance.
As they reached the fountain, the family faced a choice: drink and regain youth, or let the wisdom of age guide them. Remembering the stories they had gathered, they chose wisdom. The Spirits, moved by their decision, blessed them with strength for the journey ahead.
The family continued their travels, sharing tales of courage and the power of choice, forever young at heart.
