In a land where the northern lights danced like spirits across the sky, there was a small village nestled between tall, whispering pines and icy lakes. The villagers spoke of a peculiar tradition: every year, one person was chosen to follow the path of the "Dream Elk," a mystical creature said to roam the forests during the longest night of winter.

This year, a young hunter named Elrik was chosen. As night fell, he ventured into the snowy woods, guided by the soft glow of the aurora. The forest was silent, save for the crunch of snow underfoot and the occasional call of a distant owl. Elrik soon spotted the Dream Elk, its antlers shimmering with stars.

He followed it deeper into the woods, where reality seemed to blur. Trees twisted into strange shapes, and whispers filled the air. Suddenly, the elk stopped by a frozen lake, its surface reflecting the sky like a mirror. Elrik understood; the lake held the dreams of the village. He returned home, heart full of wonder, knowing he had glimpsed the magic that bound their world.
