Once upon a time…

Drawn from: compatible with period, Hero, Man vs Supernatural Beings Conflict. Told in English.

In the shadow of the dense, whispering forest, villagers spoke of the Night-Walkers, spirits said to roam when the moon was full. It was said they sought a guide to lead them to their eternal rest. Each year, during the Harvest Moon, a villager would vanish, chosen to lead the lost souls.

This year, it was young Tomas, known for his bravery. As the moonlight bathed the village, Tomas ventured into the forest, clutching a lantern. The trees creaked, and a chill hung in the air. Suddenly, the spirits appeared, their forms shimmering like mist.

Tomas remembered the old tradition: offer them a token of light. He raised his lantern high, its glow cutting through the shadows. The Night-Walkers paused, their eyes softening. They followed the light, drawn to its warmth.

As dawn broke, Tomas returned alone, the spirits finally at peace. The village rejoiced, and from that day, they honored Tomas with a festival of lights, ensuring the Night-Walkers never wandered again.
