Once upon a time…
Drawn from: anywhere in the world, any period, Trickster, newcomer vs residents. Told in English.
You arrive in a land of misty hills and winding rivers, where the wind whispers secrets through ancient trees. The villagers eye you, the stranger, with suspicion. They speak of a hidden treasure guarded by a fierce beast in the heart of the forest. You, driven by curiosity and a sense of adventure, decide to seek it out.
As you venture deeper into the woods, the trees seem to close in, their branches like fingers pointing the way. You encounter a wise old woman who tells you of the beast's weakness—a song from the heart. You thank her and continue on.
The beast, a creature of shadow and flame, emerges, its roar shaking the ground. But you remember the old woman's words. You sing, a melody of courage and kindness. The beast pauses, its fiery eyes softening. It steps aside, revealing a chest of gold and jewels.
Returning to the village, you share your tale. The villagers, once wary, now welcome you as one of their own, the newcomer who tamed the beast with song.
Did it land?
