Roman tales

Once upon a time…

Drawn from: Roman Empire, Danilov Ballads, Guardian, Man vs Society Conflict. Told in English.

In a bustling city of ancient stone, a humble potter named Lucius toiled day and night. His hands were rough, but his heart was gentle. The city's rulers, clad in fine togas, taxed the people heavily, and Lucius struggled to provide for his family.

One day, as he shaped clay beneath the sun, a stranger approached. The man, cloaked in mystery, whispered of a hidden valley beyond the hills, where a treasure lay guarded by a fierce beast. The treasure, he said, was not gold but a scroll that held the secret to freedom from the city's burdens.

Driven by hope, Lucius journeyed through forests and over mountains. He faced wild creatures and treacherous paths, but his spirit never wavered. Finally, he reached the valley and outwitted the beast with cleverness and courage.

Returning home, Lucius shared the scroll's wisdom with the people. Together, they rose against the oppressive rulers, their voices strong and united. The city changed, and Lucius, once a simple potter, became a hero whose story was told for generations.
