Once upon a time…
Drawn from: Seljuk Empire, Grimm Brothers story, Trickster, A good friendship. Told in English.
In a land of golden sands and towering mountains, where caravans moved like slow rivers across the desert, there lived a group of adventurers. They were bound not by blood, but by a friendship forged in the heat of countless quests. There was Arslan, the brave leader with eyes like hawks; Leyla, whose cleverness was sharper than any blade; and Yasin, whose laughter echoed like a river's song.
One day, as the sun rose over the ancient city with minarets touching the sky, a call for help reached their ears. A wise old scholar had lost a precious book, one said to hold secrets of the stars and the earth. Without hesitation, the trio set out, their hearts filled with the promise of adventure.
Their journey led them through bustling bazaars, where the scent of spices danced in the air, and into the vast wilderness beyond the city. The desert was unforgiving, with the sun blazing fiercely above. Yet, the friends pressed on, guided by Leyla's keen sense of direction and Arslan's unwavering courage.
As night fell, the desert transformed. The stars shone brightly, and Yasin, with a voice like honey, sang songs that lifted their spirits. It was during one such night that they stumbled upon a hidden oasis. There, they met an old wanderer who spoke of a cave guarded by a fierce creature, where the book was said to be hidden.
Undeterred, the friends ventured into the cave at dawn. The air was cool, and shadows danced on the walls. Deep within, they found the creature—a great serpent with scales that shimmered like jewels. It hissed and coiled, but Arslan stood firm, his voice steady as he spoke of their quest and their friendship.
The serpent, sensing the truth in his words, paused. It asked a riddle, one that tested the bond between the three. Leyla, with her quick wit, solved it, and the serpent, impressed by their unity, allowed them to pass.
With the book in hand, the friends returned to the city, where the scholar awaited. Grateful, he shared tales of the stars and the mysteries of the universe, enriching their minds and hearts.
Their adventure had ended, but the bond between Arslan, Leyla, and Yasin grew stronger. They realized that while the world was vast and filled with wonders, it was the strength of their friendship that truly guided them through the shadows and into the light. And so, they continued their journey, together, ever ready for the next call to adventure.
