Japanese tales

Once upon a time…

Drawn from: Japan, Golden Age Of Piracy adventure, Mentor, Feelings of a lost past. Told in English.

I once sailed the eastern seas, where the sun rises like a golden coin. Our ship, the Sea Dragon, cut through the waves, seeking treasures said to be hidden in misty isles. I remember the day we found a map, old and worn, whispering of a lost city.

The captain, a man with eyes like storm clouds, believed it would lead us to riches. We followed the map, through storms and calm, until we reached a land where cherry blossoms danced in the wind. But the city was not of gold; it was ruins, overgrown and silent, a place forgotten by time.

As we walked among the crumbling stones, I felt a deep sadness, a longing for the past. The people who once lived here were gone, their stories lost. We took nothing but memories, leaving the spirits to their peace.

When we sailed away, I looked back, feeling the weight of history. The adventure was not of riches, but of remembering. And that, my friends, is the greatest treasure of all.
