Baltic tales

Once upon a time…

Drawn from: Lithania, a story set in Post Apocalyptic World, Superhuman Helper, encountering a long forgotten place from your past. Told in English.

Once, in a time when the old world had crumbled and the sky carried ash instead of rain, there lived a group of wanderers. They were known as the Seekers, searching the lands for remnants of what once was. Their feet were weary but their spirits strong, as they journeyed through the lands of forgotten tales, where the earth whispered secrets of the past.

Among the Seekers was a wise leader, a brave soul with eyes that had seen much, and a heart that had felt more. Beside him was a clever inventor, her fingers nimble and her mind sharp as a blade. There was a strong warrior, his strength like that of a bear, and a quiet scout, swift and silent as a shadow. Together, they moved through the remains of the world, guided by stories they had heard from those who came before.

One day, as the sun hung low in the sky, they came across a path overgrown with wild plants. The air was thick with memories, and a feeling of familiarity tugged at their hearts. The wise leader paused, staring into the depths of the forest, where trees stood like ancient guardians. "I know this place," he said softly, the words barely a whisper. "It is where I once dreamed beneath the stars, where tales of old were spun like silk."

The Seekers followed the path, each step revealing more of the forgotten place. They found crumbling stone walls, covered in moss, and a great archway, half-buried in the earth. The clever inventor examined the stones, tracing the carvings with her fingers. "These marks speak of knowledge lost to time," she mused, her eyes gleaming with wonder.

As they moved deeper, the warrior's keen gaze spotted movement among the ruins. A group of figures, cloaked in shadows, watched them with cautious eyes. The scout slipped into the shadows, his steps silent as a whisper, gathering information. He returned with news that these were the Keepers, guardians of the hidden place, protectors of its secrets.

The leader stepped forward, his voice steady and calm. "We mean no harm," he declared. "We seek only to learn, to remember what once was." His words hung in the air, and slowly, the Keepers emerged, their faces lined with the wisdom of years.

An elder Keeper, eyes bright and sharp, stepped forward. "Long have we waited," he said, his voice like the rustle of leaves. "This place holds stories not yet told, memories yet to be shared." He beckoned them to follow, leading them to a circle of stones, where a fire burned bright and warm despite the chill of the world.

The Seekers sat with the Keepers, and as night fell, they shared tales of what once was. The wise leader spoke of journeys across lands filled with danger and discovery. The clever inventor shared stories of machines that danced and sang. The warrior told of battles fought for honor and peace, while the scout recounted the wonders hidden in the shadows.

In return, the elder Keeper spoke of a time when the land was whole, when the stars guided travelers and the earth sang with life. He spoke of a place that held the key to healing the world, a forgotten treasure buried deep within.

As dawn approached, the Seekers knew their journey was far from over. They had found a place of echoes, a place where the past whispered its secrets. But they also found hope, a spark that lit their way through the darkness.

The Seekers bid farewell to the Keepers, their hearts full of new stories and old memories. They left the hidden place with a promise—to remember, to seek, and to tell the tales of what once was, so that others might learn and dream anew.

And so they journeyed on, through lands untamed and skies unseen, their footsteps echoing the stories of the earth, weaving their own tale into the fabric of the world.
