Ottoman tales

Once upon a time…

Drawn from: Ottoman Empire, Native American Myths, Hero, Man vs Fate Conflict. Told in English.

In the days of yore, where the crescent moon

Guided the night with its silvery tune,

In the land of the Ottomans, fierce and grand,

A tale of adventurers did take a stand.

Through bazaars bright with saffron and spice,

Where merchants bartered with gold and rice,

A band of brave souls, strong and true,

Set forth on a quest that the winds of fate blew.

From the minarets' call, a haunting song,

Echoed the fate they would face ere long.

With scimitars gleaming in the sun's warm glow,

They marched to where legends and myths did grow.

O'er deserts vast and mountains steep,

Where caravans ceased and shadows creep,

They sought the wisdom of an ancient seer,

Whose whispers would guide, though the path unclear.

"Beware," said the seer, with eyes deep as night,

"For destiny's dance is oft fraught with plight.

The stars have whispered your fated plight,

Yet courage can turn the darkest night."

Through olive groves and cedar woods,

Through whispers where the djinn once stood,

They battled storms and trials untold,

With hearts aflame and spirits bold.

But fate, it seems, had woven tight

A tapestry of both dark and light.

For one by one, they faced their doom,

Till only echoes filled the moonlit gloom.

Yet, in the heart of this fated land,

Their story was etched in the desert sand.

A tale of courage, of fate's embrace,

In the ancient world, they found their place.

So sing, O minstrel, with voice so free,

Of the brave adventurers and their destiny.

In the Ottoman twilight, their legend stays,

A dance of fate through endless days.
