Once upon a time…

I remember the whispering woods and the chill of dawn. They spoke of a lost amulet that shone like the moon. Said to grant courage to the bearer, it had been swallowed by the forest years ago. I was young, my heart full of daring, and I set forth with only the whispers to guide me.

The trees loomed tall, their branches like fingers, pointing deeper into the unknown. I followed their silent lead until the sun hung low. Then, a glimmer caught my eye. There, tangled in the roots of an ancient oak, lay the amulet, half-hidden by moss.

As I reached for it, a shadow stirred—a guardian, a creature of the forest. My heart pounded, but the tales of old gave me strength. I held the amulet high, and the creature paused. It seemed to nod, then vanished into the night.

Clutching the amulet, I returned to my village. The people marveled, and my heart swelled with the courage of a thousand stories. The whispers no longer haunted me; they sang of a hero.
