Once upon a time…
Drawn from: null, Man vs Self Conflict. Told in English.
In a village by the whispering sea, a man named Jaan lived. Jaan was known for his strength and skill with the sword. Yet, he carried a burden heavier than any armor—fear of his own shadow. Every night, shadows danced on his walls, and whispers filled his ears, taunting him with doubts and fears.
One day, Jaan heard of a wise woman living deep in the woods. Seeking freedom from his torment, he ventured into the forest. The trees stood tall and silent, like ancient guards. As Jaan walked, the path twisted and turned, mirroring the confusion in his heart.
He found the wise woman by a singing brook. She listened, then handed Jaan a small mirror. "Look," she said. Jaan peered into the glass and saw not a warrior, but himself—tired, scared, human. Understanding sparked within him. The shadows were his own fears, fed by his thoughts.
Returning to the village, Jaan was changed. The shadows still danced, but he no longer feared them. He had found the courage within, and his heart was finally at peace.
Did it land?
